A recipe for success in the Good Food Guide Readers Nominations 2014.

Every year The prestigious Good Food Guide trawl the UK's finest existing, and up and coming restaurants to find the publics favourites, and recognise them in their long standing Guide. Since September 2013, the prestigious guide has been owned by Waitrose who bought it off Which? They promise to raise the bar in respect of real food outlets across the UK, and this is the first year of their own search for the readers favourite restaurants.

You can help the process. Members of the public are invited to nominate their favourite independent dining establishments in their local area by submitting a Good Food Guide postcard or nominating online - we can supply you with the official voting cards.

The nomination period for the Good Food Guide Readers' Restaurant of the Year Awards starts on March 3rd 2014, and runs for 10 weeks, closing on 12th May 2014. There are 10 regional award winners who will all feature in The Good Food Guide 2015 (published in September 2014) and the overall winner of Readers’ Restaurant of the Year will be chosen by a panel of experts, led by the editors of the Good Food Guide. The 10 regional winners will be announced on Monday 23rd June 2014 and the overall Readers’ Restaurant of the Year 2015 will be announced in September 2014.

The Good Food Guide Readers’ Restaurant of the Year awards gauge the restaurants, pubs and cafés from around the UK where people love to go when eating out. Becoming one of the regional winners in the awards is a prestigious accolade as the awards are based on nominations from tens of thousands members of the public who support their favourite local eateries.

Last year the Midlands award went to Turners Restaurant Birmingham, and is the third client of Leisure Marketing Midlands LTD to win the regional award, each supplied and coached by Director James Day - "It's all about focus" Comments James 'We work solely with top restaurants and Chef focused food outlets to enable them to learn how to focus on what is important - their customers - its easy to be distracted with the rest of the business - but at the end of the day the old adage still remains - customer is King. So when such awards come along we help our clients focus and raise awareness - after all its what our company does and we are delighted with the on-going results. The Good Food Guide is a great institution"

Richard commented "Being a Chef I focus on the ingredients and what goes out to the customers, and I am the first to admit, but not to many, that sometimes in the past I have lost focus on the customers' needs, but since we started working with Leisure Marketing, we have begun to focus more on what happens out front - and listen to customer feedback - Even launching a dedicated vegetarian menu, with much acclaim -- this award, which is voted for by the public really goes to show how much we have come on, and we thank all our customers for their support, and feedback"

Last year, an impressive 39,000 people submitted nominations for their favourite restaurants in the awards. The Good Food Guide verifies all the nominations before picking ten regional winners who represent some of the best dining experiences to be had around the country.Get Voting. To qualify for the awards, aimed at championing local neighbourhood eateries, restaurants needed to be independently run and offer regional or local produce where possible.
